Our purpose
Arise and Shine Consulting begins with financial literacy and debt management, then connects people with practical guidance across housing, welfare benefits, homelessness and resettlement, health advocacy, legal rights, employability, mentoring and confidence building.
The platform translates professional knowledge into structured pathways, useful resources and focused sessions that help members understand their position and take realistic action.

Meet the founder
Millie brings more than 20 years of experience across the housing sector, working with people experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse, mental and physical health challenges, resettlement needs and the transition from offending.
Her work spans social-housing applications, allocations and bidding, bond and rent-deposit schemes, emergency and temporary accommodation, refuge access, private renting, tenancy rights, possession and eviction, security of tenure and homelessness prevention.
Experience with the Department for Work and Pensions and welfare agencies informs her guidance on benefits, eligibility and applications. She has training in Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment and has represented clients in benefit appeals, including court submissions and supporting evidence.
Millie has managed supported-housing schemes, supervised social-work and nursing students up to master’s level, developed action plans and risk assessments, trained staff and volunteers, and worked in partnership with social services, mental-health teams, probation, police, housing teams and community organisations.

How delivery works
Millie is the main consultant and facilitator. As programmes expand, other appropriately experienced facilitators may deliver specialist sessions or contribute resources. The platform will identify who is leading each booked session so members understand their experience and role.
